Imperial Square Stage 2 “The Monarch” Gets Green Light

Gold Coast’s illustrious developer, Azzura Investments, is set to propel “The Monarch”, the $650m second-stage tower of the $3.1 billion Imperial Square development in Southport. The city’s leaders recently approved this high-profile project, a pivotal move that the community has eagerly awaited.

Nestled within Southport’s Priority Development Area (PDA), Imperial Square is set to dramatically transform the city’s skyline. It comprises four stages, including “The Monarch” or Monarch Place as it’s known, and future additions such as the 68-level Imperial Tower and The Majesty, projected to be Australia’s tallest residential tower at an incredible 108 levels.

In a significant LinkedIn announcement, CEO Roberto Badalotti revealed his excitement regarding the project’s secured draft development approval from the City of Gold Coast. This approval is a testament to Azzura Investments’ commitment to providing a stellar combination of affordability and luxury living.

The first stage of Imperial Square, the 18-storey Regal Residences, set to be completed by the end of this year, is already under construction. Following its completion, comes the construction of the Monarch Place. This 40-level tower will be a unique addition to the skyline, crafting a new paradigm for urban living.

Monarch Place also plans to offer a hotel-tavern and restaurants on its 6th level, further complemented by an outdoor ‘kabana lagoon’ pool and resident barbecue facilities.

Occupying a prime spot on the corner of Ferry Road and Meron Street in Southport, this grand four-tower project is set to drastically reshape Southport’s landscape. Once complete, Imperial Square is expected to provide around 1,600 dwellings and a remarkable 40,000sqm of commercial and retail space, heralding a new wave of prosperity and sophistication for Southport.
