Pikos Group lodges plans for innovative 10-12 storey aged care, village and health care towers in Brisbane
Prepare for the arrival of ‘Collective Health & Wellness,’ an innovative medical center that aims to revolutionize healthcare in Australia. Billed as the country’s most advanced medical facility, this development by Pikos Group will encompass a 70-bed aged care facility, 45 retirement living units, a childcare center, retail space, and over 7,678 square meters of healthcare services. The design draws inspiration from the renowned Mayo Clinics in the United States, ensuring top-notch medical care and facilities.
Situated in Woolloongabba, a vibrant neighborhood located just 2 kilometers southeast of Brisbane’s CBD, Collective Health & Wellness will span two neighboring towers. Its prime location places it directly across the road from the Mater Public and Private Hospitals, as well as the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, while the Princess Alexandra Hospital is a mere five-minute drive away.
Kris Kowalski Architects have been entrusted with the design of this groundbreaking project. With their expertise, Collective Health & Wellness will seamlessly integrate a range of essential services within its two towers. The development will include a day hospital, inspired by the world-renowned Mayo Clinics, ensuring exceptional medical care for patients.
Pikos Group, a private Brisbane-based developer with over 30 years of experience in residential development, expanded into the health and aged care space in 2014. Founder and Managing Director, Pedro Pikos, will take on the role of Director for the new center, overseeing its successful implementation.
The project has garnered support from Sydney-based property fund manager, Heathley. Through its Medical Development Fund No. 1, launched in April last year, Heathley has acquired a 40% interest in the venture. Investors in the fund can expect superior risk-adjusted returns, making it an attractive investment opportunity.
Confident in the project’s prospects, the team behind Collective Health & Wellness has already launched a comprehensive website advertising the range of co-located health services that will be available. The visionary concept and the backing of experienced stakeholders position this development as a trailblazer in Australia’s healthcare landscape.
